A thread lift is an in-office procedure, and we will inject your treatment area with a local anesthetic to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. The skin is first sanitized and then marked by Dr. Daw or Dr. Hsu himself, clearly showing precision points as to where the thread placement will be. Once you are numbed, the threads will be weaved into your skin with a fine needle, and Dr. Daw or Dr. Hsu will reposition the area with a slight pull of the inserted thread. This step allows your physician to adjust the tightness of the pull, thus bringing certain parts of the face higher for smoother skin or a more volumized look. The entire treatment process is generally around 45 minutes, depending on the number of threads that will be used. Our Oak Dermatology’s clinical assistants will then provide you with post-care instructions. Patients can go back to their day-to-day activities immediately.
